Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 14, 2026 · Last updated: October 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how WirePhase ("WirePhase", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use our website and electrical calculators (the "Site").

1. Information We Collect

Calculator inputs. Values you enter into our calculators (voltage, amperage, wire sizes, etc.) are processed in your browser using JavaScript. We do not transmit or store them on our servers.

Automatically collected data. Like most websites, our hosting provider, analytics and advertising partners may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location and timestamps.

Information you provide. If you contact us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use it only to respond and to improve the Site.

2. Cookies and Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels) to operate the Site, remember preferences such as dark mode and any job report you choose to build (stored only in your browser), measure traffic, and show ads.

3. Third-Party Vendors

We may share data with service providers acting on our behalf: Google AdSense/Ad Manager and other advertising partners, analytics providers (if enabled), hosting/CDN providers and a consent management platform. These vendors have their own privacy policies and may place or read cookies on your device. We do not control their technologies. Non-Google ad vendors may be listed in our consent tool and in Google's ad technology providers list.

4. How We Use Information

To operate and improve the Site; analyze usage; display advertising; respond to inquiries; maintain security and prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations.

5. GDPR: Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Legal bases: consent (advertising and non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (security, analytics, site improvement) and legal obligation. We request consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used; you can change your choice at any time using the privacy settings control shown on the Site.

Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent, plus the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries under appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). To exercise rights, email admin@wirephase.net.

6. CCPA/CPRA: California Residents

We collect identifiers (IP address, cookie IDs), internet activity and approximate location from you and your device for the purposes above. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money; however, sharing data with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.

You have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, to opt out of sale/sharing, to limit use of sensitive information (we do not intentionally collect it), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To opt out, use the privacy choices control shown on the Site or email admin@wirephase.net. We will verify requests before acting. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf. Residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws (e.g., Colorado, Virginia, Texas) may have similar rights, and Canadian residents may have rights under PIPEDA and provincial laws.

7. Opt-Out Links

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as intended.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it. We do not enable personalized advertising for users we know to be children.

9. Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. We use reasonable safeguards (HTTPS, access controls), but no internet transmission is completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated policy.
